Wilbur E. Felton, 94, of Dunbar Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
He was born August 15, 1929 in Ralph, PA, a son of the late William and Bernice (Stark) Felton.
He was a member of the former Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Connellsville and upon its’ closure, he became a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville.
He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he was a special ops in Germany.
After his service, Wilbur was employed through Anchor Hocking Glass as a tool and die maker for many years, until he retired in 1986.
Wilbur was known as a man of many trades, as well as being an avid fisherman, hunter, and wood crafter.
Wilbur is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ansell of Connellsville and Kathleen Shimko and husband Gerald of Keisterville.; grandchildren, Mark Sporck and wife Jan of Ohio, Shawna Edwards and fiancé Freddie of Connellsville, Charles Lincoln of Alabama, and Mary Catherine Piper and husband Greg of Chestnut Ridge; several step-grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; siblings, Betty Whittaker and husband William of South Connellsville and Wanda Clark and husband Donald of South Connellsville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Frantz Felton (1996); his second wife, Carol Zitney Felton (2012); and his sister, Agnes Osler and her husband Kenneth.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNEAL HOME, INC. 418 Noth Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday from 3pm – 8pm and on Saturday from 8am until 9:30am when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville at 10am with Fr. Edwin Rubido as Celebrant.
Committal services and interment will follow at Holy Trinity R.C. Cemetery, Connellsville.
