Ida Mae “Cookie” Connor McKenzie, 77, of Connellsville, passed away on Friday April 21, 2024 at Penn Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She was born May 3, 1946 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Burley Rummell and Dorothy Nicholson.
Throughout her life, Cookie was a loving homemaker to her family. She was the most loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time cooking and baking for herself and her family and she loved to play bingo.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge #16, American Legion Post 301, VFW Post 21, and the Connellsville Eagles.
Cookie is survived by her children, Peggy Hart and husband Frank of Connellsville, Robert Hall of Connellsville, Robin Hall Emery of Smock, and Michelle Hall Bundridge of East McKeesport, PA; grandchildren, Frank Hart and girlfriend Devon of Connellsville, Thomas Hart and girlfriend Jenna of Scottdale, Brooke Hall of Smock, Brittnay Martin of Connellsville, Tony Leasure of East McKeesport, Smalley Martin and wife Marrissa of Connellsville, Shannon Hall of Connellsville, Damon Bundridge of East McKeesport; 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joanne Henry and husband Larry of Connellsville, Judy Geehring of Connellsville, Betty Vanorsdale and husband Robert of Dunbar and Janet Fordyce and husband John of Little Summit; two brothers, Ronald Rummell and wife Agnes of Mt. Pleasant and Robert Connor of Connellsville.
In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by her loving companion for years her fiancé, Donald Knight; great-grandchild, Braylynn; brother, Clyde Conner; sisters, Carolyn Faye Lilley and Patty and Barbara Rummell; ex-husbands, Robert Hall and Carl McKenzie; sons-in-law, James Emery and Tracey Bundridge.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 from 1pm to 8pm on Wednesday and on Thursday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11:30am with Pastor William Nicholson officiating.
Interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run.
